The Ruvati RVH8555 is a 57-inch stainless steel workstation sink, one of the biggest sinks in our lineup. It's nearly five feet of working space in one long bowl, made for large islands, open kitchens and households where several people cook at the same time.

About this sink

The Ruvati RVH8555 is a 57-inch stainless steel workstation sink, one of the biggest sinks in our lineup. It's nearly five feet of working space in one long bowl, made for large islands, open kitchens and households where several people cook at the same time.

Two stacked tracks run the full length of the bowl on the front and back. That means you can line up a whole prep assembly line over the sink: cut on the hardwood board, drop scraps through, rinse produce in the colander, mix in the bowl and set clean glasses on the drying rack, all without touching the counter. Because the tracks are stacked, one accessory can slide right over another.

It's built from 16-gauge T-304 (18/10) stainless with a brushed commercial-grade finish that hides scratches. Thick rubber padding and a sound-dampening undercoat keep it quiet and limit condensation in the cabinet. The floor slopes about an inch toward the drain, and the sink can be turned so the drain sits on either the left or right end.

Who it's for

Large kitchens and long islands with a 60-inch sink base, families who cook together, people who entertain often and anyone who wants the sink to double as the main prep area. It's also a strong choice for outdoor kitchens and beverage stations where you need room for big trays and coolers.

Installation and care

  • Plan your countertop for two faucet holes if you want a second faucet
  • Tell your installer which end you want the drain on before cutting the counter
  • Undermount sinks are installed with the included brackets; a pro install is recommended for a sink this size
  • Clean with warm water and mild soap, wiping with the grain; dry to prevent water spots
  • Avoid steel wool and chlorine bleach
  • Keep the bottom grids in place to protect the bowl from heavy pans
  • Oil the wood board and platform regularly with food-safe mineral oil

Common questions

What size cabinet does it need?
A 60-inch sink base cabinet at minimum.
Can I install two faucets?
Yes. At 57 inches wide there's plenty of room for two faucets, so two people can work at once.
Can the cutting board go on either tier?
Yes. It fits the upper or lower track and flips from a flat board to a tray with a raised edge.
Which side does the drain go on?
Either. The sink installs in both directions, so the drain can be at the left or right end.
Can I use a garbage disposal?
Yes. The 3.5-inch drain fits standard disposals.
Is it noisy?
No. Rubber padding and a sound-dampening coating soften the sound of running water and dishes.
Is there a bigger size?
Yes. The 69-inch RVH8666 is the same design, 12 inches longer, for a 71-inch cabinet.
How is it different from the 45-inch Dual-Tier Pro?
It's 12 inches longer and comes with more accessories, including a condiment tray, deep colander and grater attachment. The Dual-Tier Pro models add rounded inside corners and come in gunmetal black.
Why 16 gauge?
Lower gauge means thicker steel. 16-gauge resists dents and is quieter than thinner 18-gauge sinks.
